Laundry secrets

Having a few household hacks up the sleeves is never wrong. Tricks like how to remove collar stains and keep jeans in impeccable shape. They make everyday life – if not a breeze – at least a bit easier. Perhaps we are taking it too far, but what if laundry was enjoyable? If we by some miracle could unveil secrets of how to turn our dreadful utility rooms into laundry havens.

But we are not magicians. Still, it is possible to make laundry a breeze. And it is not a secret how to. The utility room is no doubt a common problem area in our homes. It is almost never organised, with dirty laundry, detergent, shoes and fitness wear wherever you look. Laundry is a never-ending cycle. It’s easy to give up when faced with tidying up. How could we even organize this space to make sense in our daily shores?

Utility rooms are not just used for laundry; they provide valuable storage space. Too valuable in fact, so it is generally a good idea to start doing away with everything excessive. Optimally, all means of storage, from shelfs to baskets, serves a purpose. Everything in the room also has a designated place of storage. For this, all storage solutions have optimally been customised to the needs. This takes of course careful planning. Some of us might find this daunting, but we must not get discouraged. It has all been made before, everything is going to be fine.

To plan a makeover like this, what’s better than a good portion of inspiration? Spoiler alert: it does not take a lot to create that functional and pleasing utility room we all dream about.
