Elmia Solar 2026 – Industry gathering for knowledge and dialogue
After three buzzing days, Elmia Solar has strengthened its position as the Nordic region’s most important meeting place for the solar and energy industry. Despite a market situation characterised by rapid change, cautious investment decisions and challenging business conditions, the event was marked by a high level of engagement, constructive dialogue and a clear willingness to jointly drive the industry forward.
In this way, Elmia Solar is continuing to reinforce its role as the platform where stakeholders within solar energy, energy storage, charging and installation come together to share experiences, discuss solutions and build long-term collaborations. Exhibitors and visitors alike highlight the high quality of the meetings, the strong knowledge content and the opportunity to establish new business connections.
“The fact that so many industry players choose to gather here, despite a challenging market situation, shows how important a shared arena for dialogue and knowledge really is. Elmia Solar is a place where the industry meets to support one another, find new ways forward and generate business, even in times of uncertainty,” says Elin Rickardsson, Business Manager Elmia Solar.
High level of engagement in the daily stage programme
The stage programme at Elmia Solar 2026 attracted large audiences throughout all three exhibition days. With content tailored to the industry’s diverse stakeholders – from installers and technical specialists to energy companies and decision-makers – the programme created a dynamic meeting place for the exchange of knowledge and new perspectives.
Topics discussed on stage included smart control of energy storage, for example, as well as the development of V2G, regulatory frameworks related to installation and the transformation of our energy system. The programme combined strategic future outlooks with concrete examples from real-world projects and featured both national and international speakers, including Dries Acke, Deputy CEO of Solarpower Europé.
“The high level of interest in the daily stage programme clearly shows that the need for knowledge exchange is greater than ever. There is a strong sense of engagement and curiosity about how the industry is developing – and about the rapid pace of technological progress,” continues Elin Rickardsson.
The industry comes together – and demonstrates maturity
The Swedish Solar Energy Association, a trade association in Sweden, also views Elmia Solar as a key meeting place at a decisive moment for the sector.
“It’s fantastic that we can bring together so many stakeholders, with such broad representation, at a single exhibition. The industry is demonstrating clear signs of maturity, while the pace of development remains high and the innovative capacity is strong,” says Anders Hjärpe, CEO of the Swedish Solar Energy Association.
He notes that there has been particularly strong interest in batteries, smart grids and large-scale solar energy during this year’s exhibition, and that the presentations were both relevant and well attended.
“We are seeing growing engagement regarding capacity tariffs, flexibility services and energy storage, and how these, in combination with solar energy, are affecting future investments. The industry wants to move forward – together!”
International breadth and strong presence
Elmia Solar 2026 brought together exhibitors from Sweden as well as international markets. Visitors encountered a wide range of products, services and solutions – from solar panels and inverters to battery storage, charging infrastructure and system solutions for the energy systems of the future.
“The international participation and the breadth of exhibitors are strengthening the exhibition’s role as a Nordic meeting place with international relevance. Elmia Solar is continuing to evolve as an arena for both business and knowledge,” says Elin Rickardsson.
