Filip Strömsten to lead Communications of Empower Group

M.Pol.Sc, Master of Culture and Arts Filip Strömsten (age 40), has been nominated as Head of Communications to Empower Group, starting from 1 April 2013. He will be responsible for the specification, harmonisation and implementation of entire Empower Group's communications processes in all our operating countries.

Filip has done a long, diverse career in Finnair Group, and he has worked with several communications tasks in different parts of Finnair in the last ten years. His last post was that of Communication Manager, with the main responsibility of managing and executing the structural change and corporate arrangements communications of Finnair's subsidiary Finnair Catering Oy (now called LSG Sky Chefs Finland Oy).

In addition, he has participated in the daily operations of the HR communications team of Finnair Group and has been responsible for supporting the management and change communications of Finnair's IT, Procurement and HR organisations. Filip also has solid expertise in channel development operations. For several years, he has participated in Finnair Group's intranet development projects and other digital communication channel development projects, such as the development of mobile communications and the utilisation of digital information screens for internal communications.
