Lidköping, Sweden – April 30, 2025 – Erik Thun Group proudly announces the launch of ”Tidan,” the fourth of six vessel in the innovative Lake Vänern Max series. Named after the near Lidköping, Sweden, ”Tidan” represents a significant milestone in sustainable maritime shipping. The launch event took place at the renowned Ferus Smit shipyard in Groningen, Netherlands.

The Lake Vänern Max series is designed with cutting-edge sustainability features, including the installation of eBox technology. This advanced system energy use, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing operational efficiency. The vessels are equipped with hybrid propulsion systems that integrate battery power with traditional fuel, allowing for peak shaving and power smoothing.
