Press release -

New green, smart and ETA-approved chemical anchor from ESSVE

Now ESSVE launches a new heavyweight in chemical fixing, ECM Chemical Anchor. In addition to being one of the strongest on the market, it is also one of the most user-friendly. ECM is both ETA-approved and free from hazard symbols. It does not contain any isocyanates or phthalates and the empty container does not have to be sorted as hazardous waste. The journey toward environmentally friendly construction has begun.

When you are going to anchor something that will be subject to extreme loads such as fixing balconies, rails and extensions of joist floors, great stress is placed on the anchor. Quality and anchoring capabilities are the most important factors in order to guarantee a solid structure. ECM Chemichal Anchor is a safe choice for the toughest jobs.

Safe for you and the environment.
It’s important for ESSVE to offer products that support a healthy work environment, and the ECM is proof that the strength of the chemical anchor does require unhealthy substances. The new ECM chemical anchor still has all the previous benefits and functionalities, but is entirely free from hazard symbols that affect your health and the environment. It is not covered by the Thermosetting Plastics Ordinance. ECM isn’t just one of the strongest fixings on the market. It’s also one of the kindest.

”ECM is both ETA-approved and has no hazard symbols. That means that you do not have to wear protective gear such as gloves, coverall clothing and in some instances respiratory protection. It is free from styrene and phthalates and the empty cartridge can be sorted as regular plastic. ECM is also safe to the point that it is not covered by the Swedish Thermosetting Plastics Ordinance, and does not require any training by the user or medical checkup”, says Jonas Svensson, Category Manager for Fixings, ESSVE.

Safe fixing for all jobs, without training requirement.
ECM is a universal product that is suitable for all kinds of extreme fixing. There is no required training or certification in order to be able to use the product, which makes it more practical. However, the chemical anchor is an advanced product in itself whose power and strength is generated by the chemical reaction that takes place upon application. Therefore it is crucial for the anchoring properties that the fixing is carried out according to ESSVE’s instructions

In order to make it as easy as possible for the users to get it right, ESSVE has created an informative step-by-step instruction film that shows proper fixing. By using the QR-code that’s available on the tube, the users can watch the film at their convenience. Faulty fixing can be disastrous since the chemical anchor is used for heavy load anchoring. If used properly however, it is one of the strongest fixings on the market.

”Our new chemical anchor ECM is really not a difficult product to use, but there are a number of crucial steps during fixing that are important in order for the product to deliver at its maximum capacity, Brand Manager Mathias Sebell explains and continues; by looking at our fixing instruction film that can be found via the QR-code in the package or on our web site, anyone will be able to use ECM safely.

New ECM Chemical Anchor is available in stores as of December 2012.
