Testing of SRT and Edgeware Cloud Service by Björn Westman

In this blog post written by Björn Westman we describe how we together with Edgeware tested the potential of using SRT as part of a commercial video distribution flow.

SRT is a video transport protocol designed for signal contribution over an unmanaged network such as the Internet, and an important component when moving the live video processing to the cloud. Together with Edgeware we tested with their newly launched managed service for content ingest and repackaging in the cloud.

In Björn's blog post he describes how the tests were conducted and presents a breakdown of the live latency that was measured.
