Faber-Castell Academy ends successful era: Educational activities to be discontinued in 2026
The Faber-Castell Academy, a pioneer in nurturing creative talent since 1995, will close its doors at the end of 2026. Until then, the renowned educational institution will continue to provide high-quality training.
Stein, 31.07.2025. The Faber-Castell Academy was founded in 1995. Today, it is a non-profit educational institution offering part-time and full-time classes in creativity and fine arts. Faber-Castell AG, the owner of the private educational institution, has now announced that the study programmes will be phased out by the end of 2026 at the latest. "We did not take this decision lightly and examined a number of concepts for continuing the classes," said Constantin Neubeck, Chief Financial Officer of Faber-Castell AG. However, the coronavirus pandemic and many geopolitical crises, as well as their social and economic impact, presented a considerable challenge. Investment requirements and risk assessment with a view to the future of the Faber-Castell company and its core business focus ultimately led to the decision.
Academy Rector Prof. PhDr. Uli Rothfuss: "We look back with great appreciation on a fulfilling time: we were able to accompany our students on their personal creative journey. For many, the path to a successful artistic career was paved. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated lecturers and our partner institutions in the private and public sectors."
