Press release -

Faber-Castell adopts extensive growth programme

Stein, June 2022 - Faber-Castell has launched "One Faber-Castell - creating a colorful future", a comprehensive growth program for the group. It aims to develop twice as strongly as the market over the next five years. The roadmap is based on seven strategic pillars and has been drawn up over the last 10 months by the Executive Board, management and 80 other experts from the Faber-Castell Group. The program includes the worldwide expansion and development of established and new business areas. It is accompanied by a cultural transformation process: "We have grown together strongly as an international group in the last two years of the pandemic. We want to exploit this advantage of global market presence and international know-how even more", said CEO Stefan Leitz. Mr. Leitz also announced that it would strengthen regional organizational structures, continue to drive forward the internal digitalization process and implement an ambitious 5-year investment plan for the companies. Faber-Castell's claim to sustainability leadership is also to be reinforced. The Supervisory Board and family owners pledged their full support for the program.

The three-member Executive Board will personally accompany the worldwide roll-out of "Creating a colorful future". By travelling to almost all subsidiaries in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand, the board and the local management teams is preparing employees for the new course. The initial entrepreneurial measures taken in recent months are already being effective: after the downward trends of the past few years, Faber-Castell AG closed the 21/22 fiscal year with a double-digit growth in group turnover. This means that, adjusted for currency effects, business has slightly exceeded its pre-pandemic level, according to CEO Stefan Leitz.
