Faber-Castell enters with "Faberverse” the www of the future internet (Web3)

As the first company in the writing, drawing, and creative products industry, Faber-Castell is starting its first Web3 project, "Faberverse." Faber-Castell aims to create a platform in Web3 where various stakeholders can come together: digital and traditional artists, fans, thinkers, and collectors. The project was officially launched in late April with the launch of the project website Faberverse and a teaser video. A new trailer is now available on the website.'

What is Faberverse about?

Faberverse is a virtual world that Faber-Castell has created to immerse itself in Web3 and create a new form of storytelling. An exciting story will be told through different episodes, which involve the community in new ways. Two 3D artists who have worked on famous productions such as "Game of Thrones" have contributed to the design and videos.

In the next few weeks, followers can experience the unfolding of the story and how to enter the Faberverse on the official Twitter channel @Faberverse and the interactive Faberverse.com website. The Faberverse is being developed in collaboration with the Swiss Web3 partner NextWeb Butler.

Faberverse Development and Digital Creativity

Faber-Castell is present wherever creative expressions play a role and aims to be a pioneer within its industry in Web3 to show how creativity can be expressed in the digital world too. The Faberverse aims to become the virtual space where inspired and inspiring people from all over the world can meet. The project sees itself as an "innovation hub" to experiment with new ideas and Web3 approaches and build a community in Web3, where joint actions can be designed with artists or other partners.

The Faberverse sees itself as a meeting place where traditional and digital art forms come together to create entirely new possibilities for exploration and expression. The Faberverse aims to expand the boundaries of what is possible in the world of art and support artists in presenting and marketing their work in Web3.

Web3 - What's Behind It

The term "Web3" refers to the third generation of the internet, whose applications are based on blockchain technology. Companies are currently developing blockchain-based Web3 applications to create new experiences and brand worlds for their customers in the so-called Metaverse.

Another Web3 application is tokenization. Tokens can document rights to purely virtual goods such as digital artworks and they can also give customers access to products, events, or a community of collectors. This creates new opportunities for customer loyalty and community building.

Faber-Castell has chosen Ethereum as the blockchain technology, which has reduced its energy consumption by 99.988% with its new cryptographic verification method ("proof-of-stake").
