Press release -
Realignment in the premium segment: ottohutt brand to be discontinued
With the acquisition of Robert E. Huber GmbH in 2023, Faber-Castell invested heavily in the expansion of its premium segment. The takeover was an important step for the company in strengthening its position in the market for premium writing instruments and deepening its expertise in the field of precision engineering.
This strategy is now being continued with a clear focus on Faber-Castell Fine Writing and the Graf von Faber-Castell Collection. The ottohutt brand, which was acquired as part of the takeover of Robert E. Huber GmbH, will therefore no longer be continued as an independent brand in the future. The active ottohutt range is expected to remain available in stores until at least March 2026.
This step will allow the company to upgrade its core brand range and consolidate brand-specific communication and retail activities. At the same time, it will enable the company to further expand its innovative strength thanks to the long-standing expertise of the highly specialised manufacturer Robert E. Huber.
