Fagerhult investing in BIM with new series of project luminaires

Rational planning of lighting solutions is becoming increasingly important for time-and cost-effective construction projects. Fagerhult is now launching Dwide – a complete luminaire family that meets all project lighting needs, and with a strong focus on aesthetics. All models are available as BIM objects for inclusion in 3D models.

Dwide is a complete product family that satisfies project needs for offices, schools and hospitals. Recessed, ceiling-mounted and suspended luminaires with varying light distribution patterns are complemented by smart corner and wall luminaires.

"Being able to offer clients, contractors and property developers high-quality and cost-effective lighting solutions is highly prioritised at Fagerhult," says product manager Peter Björkman.

The idea is that it should be possible to light a building’s environments with the same luminaire family. The luminaires offer considerable variation in functionality but share a common design language. Dwide is named after the anti-glare technology that gives the luminaires their unique character, featuring light dividers that reflect the light an extra time. The result is comfortable lighting that creates a sense of space and meets the lighting requirements of offices and schools.

All luminaires in the Dwide family are available as BIM (Building Information Model) objects for architects and contractors who work directly in virtual 3D models. With digital models, you can evaluate building methods, materials and products while still in the design phase, making it possible to rationalise processes and reduce the risk of errors.
