Itza – a new, sustainable approach to lighting.

Press release -

Itza – a new, sustainable approach to lighting.

With its new Itza LED luminaire, Fagerhult is attempting to take time out of the equation. Itza is future-proof in all aspects – from life expectancy and energy efficiency to material utilisation and design. When all other fixtures and fittings are replaced, the Itza will remain.

Itza belongs to a new generation of LED luminaires with extremely high energy efficiency.
A luminaire efficiency of 120 lm/W and a life expectancy of 80,000 hours are two strong arguments that will appeal to a demanding market. But at Fagerhult they have taken the idea even further, as Product Manager Håkan Sehler explains.

“As luminaires are being given longer and longer life expectancies, it’s also becoming more important to give them a timeless design. This is lighting that never needs to be changed for aesthetic reasons, but will keep on running for as long as it can. Itza has been designed around new technology in order to minimise volume and material usage. It’s our way of managing resources efficiently – from both a customer and an environmental perspective”.

With Itza, Fagerhult is also launching its new louvre technology. In the 1990s Fagerhult revolutionised the lighting industry by developing r5 technology for the T5. They are now making the same journey with LED. Beta Opti optimises efficiency, but also provides amazing lighting comfort with the opportunity for both direct and indirect/direct light distribution.

“Indirect/direct combined with LED has been a tough equation that the lighting industry has been struggling with for a long time – but it’s one we’ve now managed to solve,” says Håkan Sehler.

Itza creates a harmonious and stimulating lighting environment where people thrive. The luminaire provides a comfortable combination of direct light and space-creating indirect light against walls and ceilings. Two luminous flux, 5600 and 4700 lm, and two colour temperatures, 3000 K and 4000 K, make it possible to plan the lighting environment according to the tasks.

Itza can be supplemented with Tunable White to control the intensity and colour temperatures between 2700K and 6500 K. With e-Sense Tune, the light is easily controlled via an app on a tablet or phone.
