Falck extends ambulance services in Potsdam-Mittelmark

Falck will become the largest EMS provider in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark (Germany) after having won two ambulance contracts ina European wide EMS tender.

Falck will employ around 100 rescue workers and operate a total of eight stations, four of them from 1 October 2018 and the remaining four from 1 January 2019. The contracts will continue for at least five years until December 2023, and the terms of both contracts may be extended for a further five years until 2028.

Falck has already been providing Emergency Medical Services at some of these locations for a number of years.

Lars Tue Toftild, Managing Director of Falck Germany says:

- We are very happy that we have won two contracts in the county Potsdam-Mittelmark and thereby become the biggest EMS provider in the district. We look forward to continuing the close cooperation we have had since we started operating ambulances in Potsdam-Mittelmark in 2009.

Falck currently provides ambulance services and emergency vehicles in a number of German cities, which – apart from Potsdam – among others include Köln, Bonn, Hamburg and Leipzig.
