Pekka Eloholma appointed as chairman of LeaseGreen Group Oy
LeaseGreen Group Oy’s shareholders have appointed Pekka Eloholma (M.Sc. (Tech)) a member of the Board of Directors of LeaseGreen, and the Board has elected him as Chairman.
Pekka Eloholma has extensive leadership experience from several Nordic growth and service companies. He has held leading positions in Finnet and Siemens, and subsequently worked as the CEO of Finnish listed company Affecto for seven years.
At Affecto, Eloholma was instrumental in transforming the company from a Finnish IT service generalist to a leading Business Intelligence solution provider in the Nordics. Before retiring from operational management to become a board professional, Eloholma steered the strong growth of private equity backed cloud company Nebula before it was sold to Telia. In addition to LeaseGreen, Pekka has board positions in Innofactor where he is chairing the board as well, and Sitowise where he is a board member.
“Energy efficiency is probably the most powerful and cost-effective solution to mitigating the climate change”, Mr. Eloholma says.
“I see tremendous growth potential for LeaseGreen’s smart energy systems, and I am very excited to have an opportunity to contribute to our future success. We are creating and building a new market together with LeaseGreen’s talented and hard-working Nordic team.”
The appointment of Pekka Eloholma follows the expansion of LeaseGreen’s ownership base which was announced earlier this year. Hartwall Capital, the Hartwall family investment company, became a new major shareholder in LeaseGreen in June 2018.
“We are warmly welcoming Pekka to our board”, says Mr. Tomi Mäkipelto, CEO of LeaseGreen. “The shareholders and management team would also like to use this opportunity to thank our previous board, especially its chairman Kari Neilimo, for the great leadership, support and coaching we have enjoyed.”
