Strawberry prepares for increased growth - establishes new role as Senior Vice President Commercial

With over 20 new hotel projects and 4,000 hotel rooms in the pipeline, Strawberry is strengthening its organization with a newly created position of Senior Vice President Commercial. Headhunted for the assignment is Christian Borg.

Since it was founded in the 1990s, the Strawberry hotel group has focused on the combination of growth, profitability and guest satisfaction. In May 2023, the company launched a new name and broader ambition to continue offering visitors and residents in the Nordic region experiences. In the coming year, Strawberry will continue to grow strongly in the Nordic market through, among other things, increased hotel capacity, new restaurants and strategic partners. Strawberry is now setting up a new function as Senior Vice President Commercial. The role will be highly important to be able to create the conditions for further development.

Christian Borg has over 20 years of experience from large hotel companies, where in various managerial positions he was responsible for commercial management, revenue management and distribution. Most recently as commercial director for Scandic Hotels Finland. He holds a Bachelor in Hotel Management from Arcada, University of Applied Science.

In the role of Senior Vice President Commercial, Christian Borg will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and revenue management strategies as well as ensuring effective utilization of pricing, distribution and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and profit.

Christian Borg lives in Helsinki and, in addition to that city, will have Strawberry's headquarters in Oslo and Stockholm as his workplaces. He will start his new position in the beginning of 2024.
