MULTEK AWARDED ISO/TS16949 AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY CERTIFICATION
Multek announced today that its facility in Zhuhai, China, has received the ISO/TS16949 Automotive quality accreditation.
The ISO/TS16949 is a comprehensive Quality Management System that defines the foundational requirements of the Automotive industry. The British Standards Institution (BSI) Management Systems, a leading provider of business improvement solution comprised of management system certifications, compliance software, training programs, advisory services, and supply chain solutions, issued the ISO/TS16949 which is recognized as the elite standard that meets the requirements of automotive parts manufacturers and suppliers for the design, development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products.
"Receiving the ISO/TS16949 at four of our Multek facilities in Zhuhai adds a major milestone to our strategic roadmap – enabling us to increase our innovative interconnect solutions offering to the automotive industry," said Franck Lize, president of Multek. As part of Flextronics' end-to-end supply chain solutions, Multek's facility located at Flextronics' Industrial Park in Zhuhai, offers one-stop engineering and manufacturing services in the area of rigid PCBs, flexible printed circuits, rigid-flex and flexible circuit assembly. The plants are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including one of the longest horizontal electro-less and electrolytic copper plating lines in the industry.
