Ronald McDonald House in Lund chooses FM Mattsson to sponsor its new bathrooms
Ronald McDonald House in Lund provides accommodation for families with severely ill children. The House was built in 2003 and is right next to Lund University Hospital. Families can stay there in a homelike environment while attending specialist treatment at the hospital. Now the House is to be equipped with brand new bathrooms – and FM Mattsson mixers were the natural choice.
High quality crucial for families
Ronald McDonald House is run by Ronald McDonald Barnfond, a charitable organisation. The Ronald McDonald House in Lund, one of five in Sweden, has everything needed to offer families a home during treatment. Every year it provides accommodation for 700 families with children in need of specialist treatment. The aim is to provide a comfortable environment where families can live together during what may be the most challenging time in the child’s life.
- The building dates from 2003 and is now showing some wear and tear. For this reason, we’ve decided to renovate the 20 oldest bathrooms. We aim to maintain a high level of quality and hygiene, which is crucial for our guests, for instance if they are waiting for a heart transplant, explains Jennie Norén, Operations Manager RMH Lund.
9000E mixers in all bathrooms
The House was built, and is funded, entirely through donations, and the bathroom renovation will be partially funded by companies donating bathroom products. The renovation work started in early January and is scheduled for completion by the summer.
- We’re delighted that Ronald McDonald House in Lund has chosen FM Mattsson mixers for the showers and washbasins in all its bathrooms. The 9000E is our best selling mixer and its functions are ideal for this type of facility. Moreover, these mixers save water and energy and are environmentally friendly, which ties in with Ronald McDonald’s exacting quality and hygiene requirements, says Peter Hassel, sales representative at FM Mattsson.
- It’s wonderful to be able to maintain high quality and ensure we can offer the best to families in need. We are extremely grateful to FM Mattsson and the other companies supporting this project. The bathroom renovation wouldn’t have been possible without them, says Jennie.
