The Swedish Armed Forces will participate in the celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary.

The Swedish Armed Forces' participation will take place in New York City, USA, and will include ceremonies, air and maritime activities, as well as cultural events involving participants from approximately 50 countries.

The Swedish Navy will participate with the sailing vessel HMS Gladan, along with personnel from the Naval Staff and the Älvsborg Marine Regiment. The Royal Swedish Navy Band will also be present and will perform several concerts at venues across New York City.

The Swedish Air Force will participate with a TP 84 Hercules aircraft, flying in formation with more than 100 other aircraft on the United States' Independence Day, 4 July. The flypast will be the largest of its kind since the Second World War.

Sweden's participation aims to maintain and further strengthen the bilateral relationship between Sweden and the United States.
