Revitalising unused spaces at Westerwald Arkaden

Together with the city of Höhr-Grenzhausen and our sister company, yes&, which is responsible for centre marketing at the locations we manage, we develop strategies for utilising temporarily unused space in retail centres. As property operators, we see it as our responsibility to actively participate in and support projects that revitalise spaces and thereby create valuable community hubs.

Last week, we attended the grand opening of an art exhibition at the centre Westerwald Arkaden. The residents and staff of the local socio-therapy centre "Zum Euler" opened the doors to their first art exhibition. The aim of the project is to give citizens the opportunity to learn about the facility and gain insights into the creative work of the participants.

The opening was attended by Mayor Wolfgang Letschert, representatives of the association of municipalities and the Kannenbäckerland tourism association, which highlights the centre's strong relationships with the local community. The exhibition will be showcased until mid-December, along with various workshops promoting art, encounters and exchange.

Only through active property management and close relationships with cities and local stakeholders is it possible to successfully manage and rethink real estate - with a clear focus on innovative solutions, social and environemental responsibility, and long-term partnerships.
