A Day in the Life at Global Wind Service Meet Anna Fordońska

What does working at Global Wind Service actually look like — day by day, role by role?

This opens our new “Day in the Life” series. We’ll be sharing a look at how work happens across Global Wind Service, across business units, departments, and roles.

We begin in polish office with Anna Fordońska, Project Coordinator Team Lead, who has been part of Global Wind Service for over 4.5 years.

Anna Can you tell us what you do at Global Wind Service?

My role is to ensure that our Project Support team runs smoothly, while also supporting other departments across the company so that everyone can work effectively.

What does a typical day in your role look like?

I usually start my day in the office by checking my emails and Teams messages, and then I prioritize my tasks so I can quickly handle anything urgent. I often have meetings with members of my team, where we discuss ongoing matters and solve issues together. I also regularly deliver training sessions for the team. My day includes several online meetings as well — and of course, a much-needed coffee break.

What’s one big part of your job that people don’t always see, but actually makes a huge difference in how the project runs?

Working in the Project Support team requires a high level of focus and a lot of patience. Strong logistical skills are essential — they ensure that everything runs smoothly and that our technicians get the support they need. It’s a part of the job that often happens “behind the scenes,” but it makes a huge impact on the entire project.

What makes GWS a great place to work for you?

The atmosphere in the company is fantastic. Everyone is helpful, supportive, and open. It’s a great feeling to come to work knowing that you have people around you who are always willing to help.

Is there a moment in your day when you think, ‘Yes — this is why I love my job’?

Absolutely! I’ve had many moments like that. The best feeling is when a technician gives positive feedback and is satisfied with the service we provide. It truly gives me a strong sense of satisfaction and reminds me why I love what I do.

Describe your team in three words.

Dedicated, helpful, friendly.

If your job were a movie title, what would it be?

I think it would be “Rollercoaster” — if that movie existed, it would describe my job perfectly! Every day brings something new and unexpected, and that’s exactly what makes the work exciting.

What’s one ritual or habit that keeps you organised during the day?

I never leave messages unread, I check everything immediately and try to respond as soon as possible. Staying on top of communication helps me stay organised and ensures nothing important gets missed.
