Global Wind Service appoints Rasmus Ravn as new COO

Global Wind Service (GWS), a leading provider of wind turbine installation and maintenance services, is delighted to announce the appointment of Rasmus Ravn as Chief Operating Officer, effective from 1st August.

Rasmus brings extensive leadership experience and a proven track record within the wind industry, making him a valuable addition to the GWS leadership team.

With over a decade of experience managing large-scale international onshore and offshore wind projects, Rasmus brings extensive expertise in project delivery, team leadership, and operational efficiency. In his new role, he will oversee daily operations and drive the strategic growth and development of the company’s activities.

Rasmus has more than 17 years of experience from Vestas, where he played a key role in overseeing complex operations and delivering major wind turbine projects. Most recently as Head of Onshore Construction North and West. With a strong commercial background and an executive management qualification, he has successfully led multi-disciplinary teams to deliver strategic projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. His experience includes managing regional and global teams, ensuring seamless project execution, driving strategic planning, engaging with stakeholders, and shaping commercial strategies with an operational mindset.
