Magnus Carlsson brings Christmas cheer to Hotel Skansen

This December, Magnus Carlsson takes to the stage at Hotel Skansen for three sparkling evenings of festive dining, live entertainment and celebrations. While Magnus sets the mood with a spectacular Christmas show, the hotel’s kitchen will serve a festive buffet showcasing local flavours from Bjäre.

From 3–5 December, Magnus Carlsson will take centre stage in Gallerian at Hotel Skansen. With an extensive career spanning Barbados and Alcazar, a successful solo career, appearances in Melodifestivalen and much-loved Christmas tours, Magnus will headline this year’s festive celebrations at the hotel.

– It will be such a pleasure to return to Båstad! There is something truly special about the setting and atmosphere of the town, and I’m really looking forward to experiencing Båstad at Christmas. I can’t wait for three high-energy evenings with great food, a proper show and plenty of festive spirit, says Magnus Carlsson.

The evening begins with traditional Swedish mulled wine, glögg, followed by a classic Christmas buffet featuring flavours and ingredients from Skåne and the local area. Magnus will then take to the stage for an energetic show combining well-known hits, Christmas favourites and a lively party atmosphere.

After the show, the celebrations continue at Sand’s piano bar, where Karin Westerberg will perform late into the evening.

– If we’re lucky, there might even be a surprise in the piano bar, says Marina Olmarker, Hotel Manager at Hotel Skansen Båstad, adding:

– We want our guests to experience an evening that is so much more than a traditional Christmas buffet. We’re looking forward to wonderful food, entertainment and celebrations – and to giving colleagues, friends and families a great reason to come together in Båstad this December.

Christmas celebrations across Bjäre

Hotel Skansen is not the only place celebrating Christmas on the Bjäre Peninsula this year.

Hotel Riviera Strand will be serving a Christmas buffet with an American twist. Coca-Cola-marinated ribs, turkey and American-style pies will be served alongside Swedish Christmas classics, while the band Häng och Sväng provides the soundtrack for the evening with jazz and swing.

For groups visiting Torekov Hotell, a traditional Christmas buffet with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients will be available from 16 November to 12 December. Conference packages combining the Christmas buffet with an overnight stay and spa experience will also be available.

At Restaurant Papas in Båstad, guests can enjoy a traditional Christmas buffet with a distinctly local character, served just steps from the sea. The Christmas buffet will be available on selected evenings between 27 November and 19 December.
