Press release —
Sorry, Stockholm – This app is for Bjäre locals only
Priority access, exclusive spa offers and more experiences close to home. GRAM Group is launching Hej Bjäre, a new app offering exclusive benefits, local news and special experiences for residents of the Bjäre Peninsula. Through the app, locals can enjoy unique offers at the group’s hotels, restaurants and attractions – provided they have a local postcode.
The Bjäre Peninsula attracts visitors from across Sweden. But for those who call the peninsula home, its exceptional experiences are right on their doorstep all year round, long after the summer crowds have departed.
With Hej Bjäre, GRAM Group and Backahill Destination are creating a community dedicated to the people who live here. Local residents will enjoy priority access to selected events, exclusive offers and experiences at Norrvikens Trädgårdar, Hotel Skansen, Torekov Hotell, Hotel Riviera Strand, Papas, Pepes Bodega, Loft Nightclub, Mamas Italian and Dog & Fox.
– We want to give our neighbours a well-deserved advantage. Hej Bjäre is our way of saying thank you to the people who live and work here throughout the year, offering exclusive benefits, early access to information and invitations to experiences before they become available to the wider public, says Niklas Blonér, CEO of GRAM Group.
The app brings together special offers, events, local news and inspiration for things to see and do. Whether it’s priority access to an event, an exclusive spa offer or the opportunity to discover new menus and wine tastings, Hej Bjäre makes it easy to enjoy more of what the region has to offer.
With regularly updated content, the app is designed to inspire both planned outings and spontaneous experiences.
Turning availability into opportunities for locals
Outside the peak summer season, hotels, restaurants and spas often have greater availability. This creates opportunities to offer local residents attractive rates during quieter periods.
The app also allows participating businesses to share last-minute availability, whether it’s an open massage appointment or extra spaces at the spa.
– If we have plenty of availability at the spa on a Tuesday, we can create a great offer for locals who have the flexibility to stop by for a relaxing morning. We want to make it easier for people to try something new and treat themselves to experiences close to home. Above all, we want our neighbours to get to know us and feel truly at home when they visit, says Niklas Blonér.
Living nearby means being able to take advantage of opportunities that visitors travelling from further afield might miss. A free morning can become a spontaneous spa visit, while an ordinary weekday evening might turn into dinner out or watching a match at the local pub with friends and neighbours.
More than just a summer destination
During the Swedish Open tennis tournament and other major events, tourism becomes an unmistakable part of everyday life on the Bjäre Peninsula. For local residents, the busy summer season can also mean increased traffic and crowded streets.
– The intensity of summer is part of what it means to live here. That’s why we need to do a better job of highlighting everything we have to offer during the rest of the year. The local community is incredibly important to our businesses, and we want the people of Bjäre to enjoy even more of the benefits of having us as neighbours, says Niklas Blonér.
Hej Bjäre is available to residents living on and around the Bjäre Peninsula. To register, users simply enter a postcode within the designated local area. The app will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play starting 30 October.
