Green Energy signs long-term contract with Hydrogen Systems

Green Energy A/S, the leader in mobile integrated photovoltaic solutions for commercial vehicles, today announced a long-term exclusive contract with Hydrogen Systems Inc., a Saudi Arabian company, provides integrated hydrogen solutions and value-added support to industrial, hydrogen energy and decarbonization markets throughout Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

The agreement provides exclusive rights to Green Energy’s total portfolio of mobile solar solutions across a wide range of applications like buses, trucks, vans and light weight steel and container roofing. The agreement allows for future manufacturing of key components of the system in Saudi Arabia.

Green Energy’s solutions will become an integrated part of Saudi Arabia’s goal towards a carbon neutral economy as its systems contributes to lower Carbon emissions and sustainable local and off grid electricity production.

Green Energy’s President and CEO Karl Andreassen stated, “We are thrilled to be working with Hydrogen Systems. Hydrogen Systems will enable the integration of flexible Hydrogen and Solar solutions to the benefit of the region at large. In addition, we believe Green Energy is a paradigm shift for the transportation industry in Saudi Arabia and the GCC significantly reducing Carbon emissions while providing increased vehicle reliability.”

“We believe our product configurations offers Hydrogen Systems Inc. the immediate benefit of positioning it as the regions’ leading provider of mobile off-grid electricity products.”

The founder and CEO of Hydrogen Systems Inc., Mr. Sattam Alsuwailem, stated – “The agreement represents an important step towards our goal of emission reductions as Green Energy’s mobile solar solutions allows the transition from motor-driven to battery driven electricity generation. There is an urgent need in expanding the renewable energy matrix and green energy will be key in decentralizing renewable energy. We are looking forward to the technology transfer, localization, and integration of this technology into conventional vehicles as well as electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

The heart of the Green Energy System is CIGS solar cell technology. After 8 years of intense R&D efforts, the solutions are currently being commercially launched in 27 countries throughout Europe and across more than 13 different industrial verticals.

Green Energy

Green Energy, a Danish green tech company, was founded in 2017 with a clear purpose: to reduce the use of fossil fuels and promote green mobility by utilizing renewable energy. From the start, the company had a vision to reduce CO2 emissions by 50 million tons by 2050 and has since committed to encouraging a more cost-effective and sustainable transport sector. Green Energy has developed a solar panel solution specifically tailored for life on the road to achieve these goals. It includes the latest CIGS solar panels and a charge controller with an IoT solution that enables monitoring and reporting of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions through a mobile application. This solution ensures significant fuel savings, reduced CO2 emissions, increased comfort and efficiency, and less wear and tear on the generator and battery, turning sustainability into profitability.
