Potager Farm: Building Momentum

Potager Farm has cut production time across its core products by 8–15% – and because time under grow-lights and irrigation drives resource use directly, that same reduction carries through to energy, water and fertiliser use per unit grown.

The business has also broadened well beyond its original core products. It is producing on a large on-demand scale flowering plants in pots, extended its seedling business to nationwide delivery across Germany, opened a Window Shop, introduced Click & Collect ordering online, hosted a pop-up shop at Biesdorf Center, and launched a new product line, Chilli Roulette.

That progress is showing up where it counts: on the shelf. A buyer at a local grocery store, one of Potager Farm's retail partners, recently gave unprompted feedback that the basil consistently arrives fuller and with bigger leaves, and holds its quality on shelf notably longer than they were used to seeing – a meaningful signal for a retailer, since shelf-life reduces waste and supports margin on a category that's hard to manage.
