one.com integrates Smart Shopping Campaigns in Google Ads to Benefit Small and Medium Sized Businesses

This integration will allow sellers and businesses that use one.com to make their products visible across Google, YouTube and Gmail.

Background

  • Since the start of the covid pandemic in early 2020, one.com has been on a mission to help small businesses easily transition to a fully digital operation. New website plan prices have dropped, and the Online Shop tool is included for free for an entire year.
  • The Online Shop soared in popularity and many one.com customers who had previously only had a business website, started selling their services and products online.
  • Understanding its customers’ needs, one.com developed the newly launched Website Builder Business + E-Commerce, combining the offerings from its most popular product Website Builder, and the Online Shop.
  • In May 2021, one.com extended it’s Online Shop value proposition further by integrating Smart Shopping campaigns which will enable one.com sellers to promote their products across Google and its partner network properties.

Smart Shopping campaigns by Google Ads with one.com

Web hosting and e-commerce platform one.com has now integrated Google’s Smart Shopping Campaigns. This simplified marketing solution aims to help sellers increase online sales. SMEs can now advertise their products to shoppers across Google, YouTube, Gmail, and thousands of websites and apps by setting up Google Ads in a few simple steps.

Through this integration, sellers on one.com will get access to specialised marketing tools to boost their online presence, create deeper engagements with customers, and flexibly manage and measure their marketing campaigns.

The ads will be created automatically from the information in the one.com Online Shop, including price, image, brand and availability.

Also, inventory of online stores powered with one.com technology will appear in the free shopping listings on Google.

At one.com, our ambition is to enable all businesses, regardless of size, the possibility to grow online. This integration with Google will allow our customers who have their online shop with one.com to access digital marketing solutions directly from our platform in a simple way”, commented Nadya Frost, CMO of one.com.

“This integration with one.com is one more step in strengthening the digital ecosystem in Nordics and beyond, something we are constantly working on. We know that all businesses, and in particular SMEs, need to have simple and efficient tools to benefit from the digital economy and that is why we are always thinking about how we can make this happen. This is an example of simplification in the steps of the e-commerce value chain and we are happy to do it together with one.com”, said Adrian Blockus, Head of Channel Partnerships, Google UK Ltd.

How does it work?

The ads will be created automatically from the information in the one.com store, including price, image, brand and availability. With the help of Machine Learning, Google will show the most relevant ad to reach the ideal customer be it in Google Search, Google’s partner websites, YouTube or in Gmail ads.
