Press release -

TEDxStockholm and Hack for Earth Foundation enter new partnership

Hack for Earth Foundation is proud to announce our new partnership with TEDxStockholm.

By bringing creative and engaged people and organizations all over the world together in hackathons and other events, Hack for Earth Foundation finds real solutions to the 17 global goals and bring them to life. The mission is creating sustainable tech solutions for the good of society through citizen-driven innovation.

TEDxStockholm organizes and facilitates open, safe, and diverse networking opportunities as well as events for people to get inspired and learn new things together with other TED fans. The community is made up of curious and creative people from business, academia and the public sector (to name a few) who identify as global citizens and TED fans. The purpose of the organization is to provide a platform to voice ideas worth spreading in the hope to inspire and impact our society for the better.

- Seeing as we both are non-profit organizations, with the clear purpose of encouraging innovation and an inclusive society, this partnership is a great way of developing our respective activities. A partnership with TEDxStockholm feels only natural, since our goals and missions have much in common, and I believe it holds so much potential, says Ann Molin, Founder and Secretary General of Hack for Earth Foundation.

- We at TEDxStockholm are very excited about the partnership with Hack for Earth Foundation. Like us, they act as changemakers and share our enthusiasm and desire to make the world a better place. Hack for Earth Foundation and its community consist of dedicated and passionate individuals, who share our similar values. I am certain that together we will find creative ways to inspire and hopefully make an impact on the society, says Aziza Sudirman, TEDxStockholm licensee and board member.

On Tuesday March 8th TEDxStockholm organized a meetup to kick-start this new partnership with the Hack for Earth Foundation. Both communities exchanged ideas as well as brainstormed possibilities for future collaboration. March 8th also happened to be International Women's day, which served to heighten the spirit of both communities at the event.

- We have already started planning for collaborative activities in the near future, so this will definitely not be a partnership only on paper. We aim to take real action to involve citizens in the sustainable future and inclusive society that we need! says Ann Molin.
