We hack for diabetes!

100 years ago insulin was discovered. A revolution in medicine which prevents people from dying of diabetes type 1. Yet today, 4 million people die every year due to diabetes type 1, from complications or secondary diseases. That is more deaths than Covid-19 has caused worldwide during the entire pandemic so far. 

In order to find new innovative solutions to this chronic and lethal disease, Beat Diabetes Foundation invites to #IHackForDiabetes, an innovation competition in collaboration with Hack for Earth Foundation, Vinnova and many more organisations. 

- We are proud to be a Key Partner organisation to this most important initiative, that has the potential to improve the lives of millions of people around the globe. This hackathon is especially close to my heart, since my now 11 year-old-daughter has diabetes type 1, says Secretary General Ann Molin who will be joining the Jury evaluating the submitted solutions from the competing teams. For my daughter, and all children living with diabetes type 1, I hope this hackathon will bring forward solutions that will improve their everyday life.
