Free port-to-port voyages in August

Havila Voyages is celebrating all four ships in operation along the coast and is offering free port-to-port trips throughout August on all four vessels.

Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux were delivered to Havila Voyages at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey last week and both ships are now on their way home to Norway. On August 17, Havila Polaris will commence its route along the Norwegian coast, and the sister ship Havila Pollux will begin its route on August 23. This marks all four ships of the shipping company operating on the historic coastal route.

The company is celebrating this milestone by providing complimentary port-to-port voyages lasting up to 6 hours for all new bookings made from today until the end of August. The travel period is from August 17 to August 31.

"It is important to celebrate successes, especially considering the challenges we encountered during the start-up. We are celebrating that we have finally reached our goal of having all four ships in our possession and operational on the route, and that this historic coastal route is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year," says Chief Communications & Marketing Officer, Lasse A. Vangstein.

"We know that the coastal communities have been waiting as eagerly as us for the last ships, and with this offer, we want to give them an opportunity to experience up close the most modern and environmentally friendly ships along the Norwegian coast."

The offer is valid for all four ships of the company, and tickets must be booked on the company's website.

"Only a few stretches along the coastal route take more than 6 hours, which means that almost the entire coast can be experienced with our magnificent ships. In some places, there is also the option to travel through multiple ports – it's not necessarily limited to traveling from one port to another."

"For example, you can experience the magical Trollfjorden on a southbound journey by boarding Havila Polaris in Stokmarknes on Friday, August 25, and travel to Svolvær. Later that same evening, Havila Pollux will head north, and you can join that ship back to Stokmarknes. In that case, you actually get to experience the maiden voyage of both ships as well. The possibilities are limitless. We look forward to welcoming the coastal communities on board," concludes Vangstein.
