Hultafors Group Launches W.steps, yellow access solutions with a greener profile

Hultafors Group is proud to present their new brand W.steps. While continuing to provide the same wide range of high-quality and safe ladders as was formally done under the name Wibe Ladders* W.steps will also focus on providing more sustainable offers within the area of access solutions.

Hultafors Group is doing this brand re-launch to highlight the significant steps taken towards a more sustainable production, which began with the introduction of the use of certified aluminum. With the shift to W.steps the aim is to further reduce the carbon footprint by focusing on developing a more sustainable offer.

Renewable energy sources and recycled aluminum

By using certified aluminum, manufactured using renewable energy sources such as Nordic hydropower and Icelandic geothermal energy, the company saves substantial amounts of carbon dioxide emissions. In fact, the emissions from the smelting process are 75% lower compared to using aluminum from world-average production.

Furthermore, W.steps has started the work to incorporate recycled aluminum into its product line. By utilizing recycled materials, the company is further enhancing its commitment to make less negative impact on the environment.

"Our new start as W.steps reflects us taking a step towards a green development with a reduced carbon footprint," says Johan Fräjdin, Business Director Access Solutions at W.steps. "We are proud to leverage renewable energy sources in our manufacturing process and incorporate recycled aluminum into our product line. By doing so, we aim to make a less negative impact on the environment and provide our customers with more sustainable solutions. But it will still be the same high-quality, yellow ladders."

Yellow ladders. Green choices.

W.steps is confident that this transition will further strengthen its position as a leader in the ladder industry while aligning with the growing demand for sustainable solutions.

“We are still manufacturing in our own factory in Nässjö, Sweden. It will still be the same high-quality, yellow ladders as always. Safety has always been our main focus, now we add sustainability to our offer to become the green choice as well.” Adds Johan Fräjdin.

The new brand W.steps will be launched April 3 2024.
