HX Expeditions Partners with ITV on New Three-Part Series ‘Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South’

5 February 2026HX Expeditions, the world's oldest expedition company, has partnered with ITV on a new documentary series, Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South. The three-part series airs on ITV1 at 12.45pm on February 15th, February 22nd and March 1st.

The series follows Julia Bradbury on a remarkable 23-day voyage through the Southern Ocean, travelling to some of the world’s most remote and awe-inspiring regions, including the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica.

Sailing aboard HX Expeditions’ purpose-built expedition ship MS Fram, Julia journeys from the tip of South America, encountering dramatic landscapes, vast seabird colonies and extraordinary wildlife uniquely adapted to life at the edge of the world. Along the way, she meets resilient communities shaped by one of Earth’s harshest environments.

Produced by Captive Minds, each episode focuses on a distinct destination, with the first episode set in the Falkland Islands, the second travelling to the wildlife-rich island of South Georgia, and the journey continuing on to Antarctica in the final episode.

CEO of HX Expeditions, Gebhard Rainer, said: For 130 years it’s been HX’s mission to explore the wildest destinations of the world for our valued guests, so that they understand the importance of protecting it for future generations. We hope this series inspires viewers who watch Julia’s incredible journey to approach the world with curiosity and care.”

From towering glaciers and expansive ice fields to windswept coastlines and polar seas teeming with life, Julia explores the region’s fragile ecosystems, observing iconic species in their natural habitats and learning from the scientists and expedition specialists dedicated to understanding and protecting these extraordinary environments.

“Sailing to the Frozen South is like entering another world – one that’s beautiful, humbling and ever so powerful. To experience this raw, wild landscape is a once in a lifetime opportunity and one that I can’t wait to share with ITV viewers,” said Julia Bradbury.

The series airs during a landmark year for HX Expeditions, which celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2026. To mark both the launch of Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South on ITV1 and HX Expeditions’ long-standing heritage, HX Expeditions is offering travel agents the chance to double their entries into the draw to win a place on an exclusive Mega FAM.

Double entry applies only to bookings made during the series airtime on ITV, from 15th February to 1st March. Agents who make a qualifying booking during this period will receive double entry to win a two-night expedition experience from 5th to 7th May, sailing from Hamburg to Heligoland, experiencing expedition travel exactly as their clients do. Agents must register their booking here to be included in the prize draw.

Viewers can experience the spirit of HX Expeditions and follow Julia Bradbury’s journey by tuning in to Julia Bradbury’s Wonders of the Frozen South on ITV1 at 12.45pm on February 15th, February 22nd and March 1st.
