Hyke listed on TIME’S “The best inventions of 2022”
HYDROLIFT SMART CITY FERRIES (HYKE) NAMED TO TIME’S “THE BEST INVENTIONS OF 2022”
Today, TIME revealed its annual list of the Best Inventions, which features 200 extraordinary innovations that are changing our lives. We are very proud to announce that HYKE made the list.
To compile the list, TIME solicited nominations from TIME’s editors and correspondents around the world and through an online application process, paying special attention to growing fields—such as the electric vehicle industry, green energy, and the metaverse. TIME then evaluated each contender on several key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.
At Hyke we believe in restoring waterways to their former glory, as the very lifelines of a city. Re-activating the waterways with our fleet of fully electric and autonomous ready vessels will cut emissions, reduce travel times, save money, and encourage sustainable development. Our objective is to provide an attractive, cost-efficient solution for waterborne transportation and mobility logistics. The first Hyke vessel will be deployed in Fredrikstad, Norway, in early 2023. We are currently working with partners across the globe to deploy Hyke vessels internationally by 2024.
