New product to be launched - Diplomat Duo Optimum G2
Sometimes size matters – in this case, height. This is why today Thermia is releasing a new heat pump, the Diplomat Duo Optimum G2, where the successful HGW technology is fitted into a lower version.
It's a heat pump that has been requested by many homeowners with low ceilings, who still want the best.
The Thermia Diplomat Optimum G2 heat pump is the company's best seller. One explanation for the huge demand is that it features HGW technology, developed at Thermia's international R&D centre in Arvika Sweden. With HGW technology, hot water can be produced much more efficiently than before, which further reduces operating costs. Today we release its successor, the Thermia Diplomat Duo Optimum G2.
"The G2 is our most successful geothermal heat pump. So it's natural to also offer a version with a reduced height. Now we can also reach homeowners who want the benefits of HGW technology but have been excluded due to a low ceiling height", says Roger Andersson, Sales Manager at Thermia.
The original Thermia Diplomat Optimum G2 is 184 cm high. The Duo version with separate hot water tank is just over 30 cm lower. The separate hot water tank brings another benefit: if more hot water is required, additional tanks can be installed in series.
The new Duo version has, like its predecessor the Diplomat Optimum G2, an rpm-controlled circulation pump which automatically adjusts operation according to the heating system's temperature, the outdoor temperature and the consumption of hot tap water.
The energy for the Diplomat Duo Optimum G2 is taken from geothermal, ground, surface or lake water heat, and can be fitted with the Thermia Online remote control solution.
In Sweden there are currently 900,000 heat pumps, which means they are in half of all houses and are increasingly common in apartment buildings and commercial properties. Heat pumps have been classified by the EU as renewable heat sources. This, combined with reduced energy costs, are some reasons for the popularity of the heat pump.
