SIAM appoints Vishnu Mathur as the new Director General

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has appointed Vishnu Mathur as the new Director General of the country’s apex auto body.

Mr Vishnu Sharma graduated from Delhi University and joined the CII in 1980 before joining the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) in 1994.

As the Executive Director ACMA, he has been involved in the development of the Automotive Mission Plan and is also a member of various committees related to the automotive industry, a statement said.

“We are pleased to have Vishnu join SIAM as the Director General. I am sure that with his close association with the various stakeholders of the automotive industry and his deep understanding of the issues and opportunities surrounding the auto industry, Vishnu will be able to provide the leadership to SIAM that will help the industry achieve its objective of Growth with Responsibility,” said President SIAM Pawan Goenka.

SIAM is India’s apex industry body that represents 44 leading car and engine manufacturers in the country.
