GRE ® Program Increases Testing Opportunities to Support Growing Demand in India

GRE ® Program Increases Testing Opportunities to Support Growing Demand in India India (July 22, 2013) – Individuals in India considering graduate or business school now have more dates and locations to choose from when registering for the GRE® revised General Test. Starting this month, the GRE program has made additional testing available across the country to support the growing demand in India.
“Interest in the GRE revised General Test has been steadily growing as more people are choosing to submit GRE scores when applying for an MBA or specialized master’s program.  The number of graduate schools around the world who accept GRE scores is also on the rise, giving GRE test takers a lot of options,” says Dawn Piacentino, Director of Communications and Services for the GRE Program at ETS. “With the peak admissions season ahead, it was the right time to add additional dates and locations to help individuals in India who want to pursue an advanced degree.”
Test centers have been added throughout the country, with some locations in new cities.  The cities where additional testing will be available include Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Calcutta, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Vadodara and Vasad.
New test centers are being offered through the Prometric test center network and at additional official testing locations outside of the Prometric test center network. Plans are also in place to further increase available appointments in the upcoming months. Given the higher interest in India, prospective GRE test takers are encouraged to register early to get their preferred testing date and location.
All testing locations can be found by accessing the GRE registration system at www.ets.org/gre/register.
