Top researchers to Jönköping for European media conference

On 4-6 June 2020, the European Media Management Conference, emma2020, will be hosted by MMTC research centre at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS), Jönköping University. The conference will showcase the best current research on media management in Europe and aims to encourage the dialogue between media management research and general management.

“Hosting emma2020 at JIBS/MMTC is particularly thrilling and we are truly looking forward to welcoming all participants to Jönköping. The theme of the conference is highly relevant and intriguing, focusing on issues related to the rapid changes of media organizationsand how research can contribute to the industry", says Joaquin Cestino, project leader from the Media, Management and Transformation Centre (MMTC) at JIBS.

The European Media Management Association (is a not-for-profit academic organization that encourages and supports growth in media management research, scholarships and practice throughout Europe and around the world. The community includes over 250 active scholars of media management, active at over 50 academic institutions around the globe, engaged in:

  • research projects pioneering the knowledge frontier in media,
  • broad presence in research journals and mass media,
  • strong influence in legislative initiatives and regulatory bodies,
  • working together with media organizations across the private, public, and social sectors,
  • and extensive education activitiesin bachelor, master and PhD programs.

MMTC is an academic centre internationally recognized for its research and practical knowledge about the impact of Digitalization, Sustainability and Globalization on Industry and Business Renewal.
