Saturday 22 March 2025 marks a historic day for JYSK when the Danish home furnishing chain’s first store opens in the greater metropolitan area of Montevideo in Uruguay. The store is part of JYSK’s franchise business and will be operated by a local franchisee.
In April, JYSK will open the first stores in Casablanca, Morocco. The hiring process is well underway, with over 5,000 applications already received for the available positions.
JYSK and Dania Connect have started a collaboration on the use of electric trucks between the Port of Aarhus and JYSK's distribution centre in Uldum. It will reduce CO2e emissions by up to 37%.
JYSK's three-year roll-out plan for modernising its stores has now been completed. In total, it has cost DKK 4.7 billion. The result is more inviting stores, and customers have welcomed this.
As part of strengthening JYSK’s IT development and investments, the business area IT becomes part of the JYSK Executive Management Team. Chief Information Officer Keld Marott is promoted to Executive Vice President of IT.
From 1 January 2025, all newly purchased cotton used in JYSK's textile products is from more sustainable cotton production instead of conventional cotton.
For the financial year 2023/24, JYSK delivered an EBIT result of DKK 4.43 billion (EUR 594 million) and increased its turnover to DKK 41.4 billion (EUR 5.6 billion). On Thursday, October 24th at 9:00 AM, JYSK made history in Hungary with the opening of store number 100. The opening was celebrated with speeches and festivities across the country, where JYSK has been operating since 2005.
