The family owning Lars Larsen Group has after careful consideration decided to merge JYSK Nordic, which operates 1,287 stores in 20 countries, and Dänisches Bettenlager, which operates 1,283 stores in 7 countries, into one business unit.
2 April 2019 it is 40 years since the first JYSK store opened in Aarhus. Since then expansion has been a cornerstone in JYSK, and therefore the anniversary is celebrated with the opening of the company’s first store in Ireland.
With an investment of more than 100 million EUR in a brand new distribution center in Bozhuristhe near Sofia, JYSK has invested heavily in Bulgaria. Thursday March 7 this was rewarded when JYSK received the prize as Investor of the Year in Bulgaria .
The latest financial year resulted in a new record for Lars Larsen Group with earnings before tax of 3.6 billion DKK.
Monday December 10th will be the official opening of the first JYSK store in Thailand .
The growth continues in JYSK Group, which invests heavily in additional stores, an expanded distribution network and new e-commerce solutions.

JYSK Nordic, running 1,249 stores in 20 countries, today announced a record turnover of 2.16 billion EUR for the financial year 2017/18 (FY18).
JYSK is busy opening new stores around the world. On Thursday 31 May, JYSK opened five stores in five different countries.

The expansion in JYSK continues, and from 1 March 2018 the international retail chain will operate stores in 50 countries worldwide.
