KW Parts announces global collaboration with Ida Zetterström & Edelbrock Group.

KW Parts is initiating an extensive collaboration with Ida Zetterström, European Top Fuel record holder, and Edelbrock Group to support her quest to win the FIA championship with Team RF Motorsport. Edelbrock Group backed Zetterström during her successful debut FIA Top Fuel season in 2022, breaking the 3.8-second barrier and setting a new European record at 3.78 seconds. The team won its first European Championship event at Tierp Arena.

For 2023, Edelbrock expands its commitment, becoming the main sponsor for Ida's team along with KW Parts (Klintberg & Way Group). This partnership brings together two powerful companies represented on her RF Motorsport's Top Fueler. Edelbrock Group brands represent nearly 130 years of manufacturing performance parts for racing drivers and enthusiasts, while KW Parts, operating in 37 European countries, is the leading European distributor of OE and aftermarket parts and accessories for American cars from the 20th century to the present.

Zetterström sees many opportunities with this collaboration and what it brings to the team:

Last year marked 20 years since Ida started her drag racing career and her first season in the Top Fuel class. She begins her second full season in the FIA T/F European Championship this year. She will also participate in a Cannonball-style race at Mantorp Park and several exhibition events throughout the year. The team kicks off its season at the Festival of Power this weekend, April 29 - May 1, at Santa Pod Raceway, followed by the first race of the European season on May 26–28, also at Santa Pod Raceway.

Ida has been open about her dreams of competing in the American NHRA series in the future:

"I already have my license, ready for NHRA racing, and I am actively working towards my goal of racing in the USA. I can't give you any news about me racing there yet, but it's something I'm working on for the future. Top Fuel and drag racing are what I'm passionate about, and I'm here to stay."
