Press release -

Region Kalmar County joins Kommuninvest as member no 291

Kommuninvest welcomes a new member: Region Kalmar County. After the Easter holidays, the last formalities of the membership have been sorted out.

This means that Kommuninvest Cooperative Society now includes 291 members - 278 municipalities and 13 regions - which corresponds to almost 94 percent of all municipalities and regions in Sweden.

One of the reasons why Region Kalmar County is now taking this step is that Kommuninvest can offer significantly better loan terms than the best commercial bank in the procurement of new trains for the regional public transport system.

“We are very happy to have Region Kalmar County on board. This is exactly what we at Kommuninvest are here for: to offer secure and cost-effective lending to our members. With yet another member, this collaborative effort in the financial area becomes even stronger", says Göran Färm, Chairman of the Board of Kommuninvest Cooperative Society.
