Scaling life-saving emergency care: Norad joins global initiative supported by Laerdal Global Health

A new USD 3 million contribution from the Norad(Norwegian government) strengthens a global effort to scale proven emergency care training in low-resource settings, building on the Lifeline Fund initiative launched by Laerdal Global Health and the WHO Foundation.

The funding supports the Acute Care Transformation through Basic Emergency Care (ACTxBEC) initiative, a global effort coordinated through the Lifeline Fund. A fund dedicated to scale solutions with proven impact.

Basic Emergency Care training equips frontline health workers with practical skills to manage time-critical conditions such as trauma, sepsis and complications of childbirth. Evidence from implementation shows significant improvements in patient outcomes in low-resource settings.
