Laerdal Medical is proud to announce that its Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution (LAAS) has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious 2026 EMS World Innovation Awards. Finalists are recognized for introducing products and solutions that advance emergency medical services through innovation, improved outcomes, and enhanced training capabilities.

The Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution is a comprehensive airway management and CPR training platform designed to help learners build competence across a wide range of airway scenarios, from basic airway management and ventilation techniques to advanced suction, airway decontamination, and team-based resuscitation training. The solution combines realistic airway anatomy, adjustable airway complexity, contaminated airway simulation, and real-time feedback to create immersive training experiences for both individual and team learning.

"We are honored that the Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution has been recognized as an EMS World Innovation Awards finalist," said Scott Arnold, Vice President, Pre-Hospital and Distribution, "Our goal is to help educators and EMS organizations prepare providers for the complexities they encounter in the field. This recognition underscores the importance of realistic, scenario-based airway training that helps build confidence, competence, and readiness when seconds matter most."

Designed for rapid setup and cleanup, the Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution enables training across a variety of clinical skills, including contaminated airway management, laryngospasm, pharyngeal swelling, tongue edema, trismus, lung aspiration, dynamic lung resistance, bag-mask ventilation, and chest compressions. The system's adjustable airway complexity allows educators to tailor training to learner skill levels and desired learning outcomes.

The EMS World Innovation Awards finalists will be showcased during EMS World Expo 2026 in Orlando, where products will be reviewed by a panel of industry experts. Winners will be announced following the event.
