Press release -

HimmerLand appoints new CEO

Mette Ravn has decided to step down as CEO of HimmerLand at the end of 2025 in favour of a position within the parent company, Lars Larsen Group. We are pleased that the current Director of Operations, Jane Andersen, will continue the positive journey

After four years at the helm of HimmerLand, Mette Ravn has chosen to step down from her role as CEO on 31 December 2025. She took over in autumn 2021 after serving as CEO of VINGSTED hotel & conference center.

Successful transformation
Over the past four years, Mette Ravn has successfully transformed HimmerLand from a golf hotel with a spa into a fully developed family resort.

“I am happy and very proud of the many changes we have implemented during my time at HimmerLand. I believe they will help ensure continued positive development for this unique place. It has been an incredible four years and a very special leadership responsibility that I have truly enjoyed,” says Mette Ravn.

“HimmerLand will always have a special place in my heart, which is why I am also pleased to continue as a board member. At the same time, I am proud to pass the baton to my valued colleague, Jane Andersen, who I am confident is the right person to take over at HimmerLand,” she adds.

The resort today offers 106 rooms accommodating up to 365 overnight guests, three restaurants – including HimmerRiget, which is listed in the MICHELIN Guide. It also features two international 18-hole golf courses, a shop, and an exclusive meeting villa with private rooms.

Guests can enjoy a swimming pool with waterslide and sauna, sports facilities with an artificial turf pitch, a tennis court, indoor and outdoor padel courts, a bowling centre, a spa with wellness treatments, and a multi-purpose hall with fitness facilities, golf simulators, and banquet and meeting rooms.

Well prepared for the future
In recent years, HimmerLand has made investments amounting to several hundred million DKK. According to Jacob Brunsborg, Chairman of the Board at HimmerLand, the resort has undergone a highly successful development and is well positioned for the future.

“HimmerLand is in a very strong position. Mette Ravn has worked tirelessly to structure, build and organise HimmerLand, laying the foundation for the next phase of our development journey. We owe her our sincere thanks for that. We are pleased that she will continue within the Group,” says Jacob Brunsborg, adding:

“Our objectives for the coming years are clear. We need to increase the number of guests and strengthen awareness of HimmerLand. This task is in the best possible hands with Jane Andersen, who has been part of the management team since 2019. She knows our business well and brings valuable experience and competencies within the experience economy. I am very much looking forward to our collaboration.”

Further information and reception
In addition to her management role at HimmerLand, Jane Andersen is Chair of the Board of Destination Himmerland and has previously served as Hotel Manager at Comwell Rebild Bakker.

Mette Ravn will continue within the Lars Larsen Group as Vice President Commercial Hospitality, as well as Chair of the Board of Restaurant Tiende and board member at HimmerLand.

A “Welcome and Farewell Reception” will be held on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 at HimmerLand, Lars Larsens Vej 1, Gatten, 9640 Farsø, for both Jane Andersen and Mette Ravn.
