Checking in with LK Systems’ Head of Sustainability

In connection with the publication of our sustainability report, we take the temperature of LK Systems’ Head of Sustainability, Hans Bramevik.

Work on the strategy is in full swing, and sustainability is a clear part of the direction going forward. We have taken major steps, including through a high degree of digitalisation, our EPD generator and better insight into our scopes. At the same time, we see that market requirements are changing, which makes it important to continue listening, being prepared and supporting our customers with knowledge, for example regarding climate impact.

According to Hans, one of the most important sustainability issues going forward will be having the courage to make decisions and being a significant part of the industry’s development. Where are we heading? We need to reduce our climate impact, and our long-term vision is that we, as a company, contribute to a climate-neutral future.

There are challenges, as sustainability work, just like other strategic issues, needs to be balanced against financial targets and business priorities. At the same time, Hans highlights that there is a strong understanding within the group for sustainability issues and a strong commitment within the company.

We are also proud to have an organisation where people feel good, and where our managers work to ensure that teams function well and develop. This gives us a stable foundation for continuing to turn sustainability work into action.
