The result is a real feast for the eyes.

“Light Tasting” – a unique light experience

"Light Tasting" is a ground-breaking concept that allows visitors to experience various options and quality levels of light in retail in a unique way. In this space, architects, lighting designers, retailers and interior designers can learn more about light and its effects at first hand and virtually immerse themselves in it.

Here is our exclusive recipe describing the unique experience of “Light Tasting”:

You need…

  • A pinch of lumen
  • A large portion of efficiency
  • A dash of colour temperature
  • A teaspoon of the right beam angle
  • A few grams of energy savings
  • A cup of illuminance
  • A few drops of colour reproduction and contrasts
  • And a seasoning of brilliance and glare control

A guide to perfect “light tasting”:

  1. Start with a pinch of lumen to create a brilliant prelude which bathes the room in warm, inviting light.
  2. Add a large portion of efficiency to ensure that your lighting is not only beautiful but also economical.
  3. A dash of colour temperature gives your light the right atmosphere. Choose the colour temperature that best suits your room.
  4. Add a teaspoon of the right beam angle to direct the light and optimally illuminate the desired areas.
  5. With a few grams of energy savings, you allow for an environmentally friendly and sustainable lighting solution.
  6. Pour in a cup of illuminance to fill the room with the required brightness.
  7. A few drops of colour reproduction and contrast bring the light to life and ensure that the colours look vibrant and details are highlighted.
  8. Spice it all up with a little brilliance and glare control to get non-glare yet radiant light.

Please follow this guide to create the perfect lighting recipe which is visually appealing, practical, and energy-efficient causing a “light flavour implosion”.

Expert partner for retail lighting

Good light offers much more than just brightness: It is an emotion. Light plays a huge role in rooms where we feel comfortable. It increases the wellbeing of employees and customers and stimulates buying interest. In the LTS showroom, for example, you can test the effect light has on people in a staged changing room. The difference it makes when light is simply there or when it specifically spotlights the person. Modern customers make high demands and want to experience the looks and feel of the goods’ naturalness and authenticity. Directed light in a changing room makes the skin look beautifully radiant and softens shadows, which has a positive effect on self-perception. This makes customers feel particularly attractive and comfortable about themselves, when trying on swimwear, for instance, which can have a favourable impact on the purchasing decision. Directed precision light even leads to brand recognition. With what is known as “corporate light”, your brand is presented in the best possible light and customer expectations to identify with the brand are completely fulfilled. Shopping becomes a positive experience.

But light can do even more: It specifically directs the eye to the products we want to buy. Both aspects, the quality of time spent in a room and the eye-directing dramatic lighting solutions serve the same purpose: the attractive presentation of goods and effective sales promotion. Find out in the showroom how light can create an impressive shopping experience. LTS Licht & Leuchten presents a wide range of sales situations in the food and non-food sector.

In the “yellow room”, for example, LTS presents all possible effects light can have on a variety of goods. The right lighting intensifies contrasts, highlights details and gives more depth to objects achieving a stronger presence. This leads to improved visibility of surface structures, textures, reliefs and details. Contrasts become sharper, and product details and exceptional features are more clearly visible. Visitors can directly perceive, experience and compare the effect of light on products, colours and surfaces.

The light of the future is already in sight

The smart Organic Response lighting control technology is particularly impressive, with the light adapting to people's movements. Experience yourself what it feels like to see the smart light brighten up automatically in front of you and dim down behind you. This creates a pleasant atmosphere while you are there and saves energy at the same time, which contributes to sustainability. Particularly in retail, Organic Response holds great potential for savings which LTS dedicates a lot of attention to.

With its strong focus on sustainability and modern lighting technology, LTS Licht & Leuchten is known for quality and innovation. The latest LTS spotlights excel by their resource-friendly design and their highly efficient operation, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Light spaces customers fall in love with

High-quality, directed light contributes to improving the visual quality of a room. Light creates shadows, and this is an important instrument for the perception of space. The skilful interplay between light and shadow conjures up three-dimensional effects that emphasise depth and are visually impressive. The shape and texture of objects in the room are highlighted, their edges become sharp and precise, contrasts are accentuated and a natural effect of depth is created in the room.

If a showroom is additionally equipped with the Organic Response lighting control system, the light virtually guides customers through the room. It draws attention to the goods that are close to the customer and optimally illuminated. When the customer walks on, other product areas are highlighted by precisely directed light, and the customer’s view is automatically drawn to those products. Customers intuitively follow the light through the room and all showcased details are perceived with unprecedented authenticity and brilliance. The controlled dimming of the light allows soft transitions which create a feel-good atmosphere that adjusts subtly and does not irritate the senses. Different lighting layers ensure optimum illumination at different levels. The room is illuminated as well as the goods and the people in the room, all aiming at the same thing: making customers feel comfortable and stay longer in the salesroom, reaching for the optimally presented goods. So all in all, light contributes to a positive shopping experience and purchasing decision.

The targeted use of light enables precise and natural colour rendering, so that surfaces and objects appear in rich, vibrant colours, allowing for a realistic presentation. The combination of colour, texture, contrast and depth effect entices people to reach for the goods and make a favourable purchasing decision.

Inspiration and expertise for everyone

Visitors to the showroom have the opportunity to obtain advice from the LTS specialists and find the best lighting solution for their individual needs.

“Our newly designed showroom is a place where we want to inspire people through light. Visitors should “be in the light” and experience the effect of light up close. The showroom is not only a place to present our latest products but also a space for inspiration and knowledge transfer”, says Maren Breitenberger, Head of Product Management & Marketing at LTS. “We are setting new standards in the lighting industry with our precision light, our innovative technology and the sustainable approach of our products”, the lighting expert continues.

The LTS showroom is more than just an exhibition space. It is a space where the design of retail stores is redefined by high-quality directed lighting. Architects, designers, electricians, lighting experts and shopfitters can develop their creative ideas while ensuring that they find the best possible lighting solutions for their projects. The aesthetics aspect of lighting is emphasised, and practical applications are presented. In the mock-up room, different room heights are simulated, and the lighting can be adapted to specific product carriers and tested using adaptable wall distances and swivelling angles. It is possible to change the luminaires’ and individual spotlights’ positions at the touch of a button to test the variety of lighting scenarios. Any type of retail application can be simulated in this part of the showroom. You are also welcome to bring your product to see and feel it in our light.
