airberlin flies with AMOS

airberlin group is live with AMOS, supporting maintenance and engineering. 

airberlin group decided to replace its legacy system and implement AMOS based on it’s perfect fit to support the maintenance and engineering activities of the group. All members of the airberlin group (airberlin, NIKI, Belair and airberlin technic) are now live with Amos and able to take full advantage of the wide spectrum of AMOS functions to fulfill the complex business requirements of the group. 

The project has been equally complex and involved harmonization of data and configuration for both NIKI and airberlin. 

“This implementation had all ups and downs a project of this size is expected to have. It has been a challenge to pull all the right resources together at the right time, but we are happy having the cut-over achieved. The support of Merit was highly appreciated. Now we have some post project work ahead of us but are looking forward in taking advantage of having the whole airberlin group in one system – AMOS.” – says Alexander Renkl, the overall project manager in the airberlin group. 

Merit has assisted in the final stages of data migration in the project and by supporting the AMOS administration for NIKI. This included: 

Support in harmonizing the AMOS configuration between NIKI and the future airberlin group AMOS configuration; streamlining material classes that diverted between the involved organizations 

Analyzing Swiss-AS data verification findings, categorizing them together with the airberlin data migration experts and proposing/developing solutions 

Finding solutions for last minute findings during the Go-Live 

Supporting the airberlin group’s 1st line during the first weeks after Go-Live for end-user Q&A
