Press release —
Strong shareholder support for the merger between Multiconsult and Rejlers
The shareholders of Multiconsult ASA and Rejlers AB have given their support to the planned merger between the two groups. This paves the way for the establishment of Multiconsult Rejlers, a new Nordic consultancy, engineering and architecture group with nearly 8,000 employees.
"I am very pleased that Multiconsult's shareholders support the merger. It demonstrates that they share our belief in the potential of bringing together two strong professional environments to create a leading Nordic consultancy, engineering and architecture group," says Kristin Olsson Augestad, Acting CEO of Multiconsult Group.
94 per cent voted in favour of the merger at Multiconsult's Extraordinary General Meeting, held on Monday, 19 October. Rejlers AB's General Meeting also approved the merger plans.
"I am delighted by the shareholders' strong support for the most significant change in Rejlers' history. Rejlers and Multiconsult are two successful companies that complement each other exceptionally well. Together, we are creating a larger and stronger multidisciplinary consultancy business, with a broader geographical presence and an even stronger offering for both clients and employees. I very much look forward to building the new group together with all the talented people at Multiconsult and Rejlers," says Viktor Svensson, CEO of Rejlers Group.
Multiconsult Rejlers will have approximately 8,000 employees, most of whom will be based in Norway, Sweden and Finland, while also maintaining a significant presence in Poland, Denmark, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Today, the two companies have combined annual revenues of approximately NOK 12 billion and adjusted EBITA of approximately NOK 795 million. The Group will be headquartered in Stockholm, while most corporate functions will be based at the Group's largest office in Oslo.
"Rejlers and Multiconsult complement one another well in terms of geography, culture and technical expertise. Together, we will be able to deliver even greater value to our clients across the entire value chain and in all areas of expertise. Our ambition is to become the natural first choice for large and complex assignments, and a highly attractive employer for both current and future employees," says Augestad.
Although the Group will be named Multiconsult Rejlers, the companies within the Group will continue to operate under their existing brands. The exception is Rejlers in Norway, which is expected to become part of Multiconsult Norway during 2027.
Multiconsult ASA and Rejlers AB plan to merge in early 2027. The merger remains subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
