Paradise Village Marina Named Best in Mexico by Boat International

How does one stand out from the competition these days? It helps to be recognized and awarded for your efforts. Paradise Village Marina was recently named Best Marina in Mexico by Boat International in the Mega-Yachts category, putting it in a class above the rest.
Paradise Village Marina, a part of the Paradise Village Resort in Nuevo Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit, has been home to many of the world’s largest yachts as they pass through the area. The natural cove on which the marina was built acts as a barrier from the ocean’s volatile storms making it a perfect shelter for the multi-million dollar yachts that call the marina home, or are just on a short stay. The marina is operated by harbour master Dickie Markie and his wife, who have created a fun and warm community feel for those with boats at the Paradise Village Marina.
Luxury properties, one of the resort’s towers, natural beauty and lush gardens surround the marina in its protected lagoon. With its own concierge for its guests, the marina is a perfect choice for discerning pleasure-craft and mega-yacht captains - the resort now has slips for 24 mega-yachts plus a 240 foot end-tie.
Guests of the marina have access to the resort and all its amenities and features - including a suite during their stay. El Tigre Golf Club, the Paradise Village golf course is a PGA-approved course, and rated one of the best in the world by the Rolex Group. A round on the links is a must for golf enthusiasts visiting the area - it’s a challenging course with wide fairways making it almost impossible to lose a ball.
Fishing in Puerto Vallarta is known for its large tuna, marlin, and dorado. The sport-fishing is intense when the schools of big fish come plowing through the waters and it is not unheard of to catch a 300 lb tuna. The boat-ride from Paradise Village Marina to the fishing grounds is an anticipation-building experience as those who travel it know they are in for a treat. The fishing can be exhilarating with many different spots to toss a skipjack into, and when the fish bite they bite HARD. Some avid sport-fishers remark that the waters off Puerto Vallarta have some of the most volatile fighters to hit your line, giving the holder of the rod a memorable, multi-hour fight.
Unwinding with a margarita in your hand and your catch on a plate once back at the resort, telling the adventures you had on the open waters is a perfect end to a great day. Your friends and family listening to your tales as they dine on your catch is paradise - and its just one more way Paradise Village defines paradise.
Paradise Village Resort and Spa would like to thank Boat International for the award Best Marina in Mexico. The marina can be a wondrous sight with multiple Mega-Yachts parked side-by-side, and the continual upgrading of the Paradise Village Marina received since opening recognizes the hard work Paradise Village owner Don Graziano put into his marina.
The resort would also like to take this opportunity to thank Harbormaster Dickie Markie and his staff for their dedication to making the Paradise Village Marina the best in Mexico.
