NCC Group supports new cyber funding scheme to futureproof “the integrity of Scottish organisations”

NCC Group is a named Trusted Partner to Police Scotland for delivery of Cyber Essentials certification, and is delighted to promote a new Cyber Essentials voucher scheme offered by the Scottish government, which will help to bolster the security of organisations across the country.

As part of its Cyber Resilience Strategy, the Scottish government has made £500,000 available to small and medium-sized organisations across the private and third sectors in order to help them to boost their security posture. The new scheme will enable organisations to claim vouchers worth up to £1,000 to help in achieving Cyber Essentials, and for larger companies, Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

This initiative comes as part of a wider push from the Scottish government to support businesses in their cyber security efforts. Named as a trusted partner to the delivery of Scotland’s Cyber Resilience Strategy, NCC Group provides certification for companies looking to gain Cyber Essentials accreditation, in addition to offering support for businesses from its offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Mike Upton at NCC Group commented: “Governments play a vital role in encouraging a strong culture of cyber security across the board, whether that’s through working in collaboration with the security industry or providing financial support to businesses. Putting robust security measures in place is particularly important for SMEs and third sector organisations as they move forward on their growth journeys.

“The Scottish government is taking positive and proactive steps in this respect, and we’re proud to be supporting its cyber security initiatives, which will no doubt go a long way towards futureproofing the integrity of organisations in the country.”

The scheme will run for 12 months or until the vouchers have been exhausted.
