Why we’ve changed our logo for Pride month

Each year, we change our logo to Pride colours on social media for the month of June as a way of showing our support for the LGBTQIA+ community and our LGBTQIA+ colleagues.

We stand unequivocally for inclusion and the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community, which includes the rights of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming people.

Our LGBTQIA+ Colleague Resource Group, shares this:

‘Within the last year, new regulations around the world continue to challenge the equalities and rights of our community and threaten our ability to exist as equals.

‘Among numerous other things, the transgender community faces increasingly politicised and exclusionary actions that seek to revoke LGBTQIA+ protections.

‘Regressive legislation has also been introduced in some parts of the world which criminalises homosexual activity, with punishments as severe as the death penalty or life imprisonment.

‘We feel that, in the face of these challenges, it’s important to show our continued commitment to inclusion and to stand with our LGBTQ+ friends, colleagues, and community members.

‘In terms of what we can do here at NCC Group, as the LGBTQIA+ Steering Committee we strive to make our workplace a welcoming and safe place for LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies. In our meetings, we provide a safe space for colleagues to share their experiences and feel heard. We advocate for our community across the Group, sharing perspectives and lived experience insights at all levels, and help start conversations about topics that affect our fellow colleagues.’
